The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, established in 1882, is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions dedicated to veterinary, animal, and allied sciences in Asia. With a distinguished legacy spanning more than 145 years, UVAS has evolved into a leading center of excellence in education, research, innovation, and community engagement. Guided by its motto, “Provoking Potentials – Producing Professionals,” the University is committed to developing highly skilled professionals, advancing scientific knowledge, and promoting sustainable livestock development for the benefit of society.

Since attaining university status in 2002, UVAS has grown into a multidisciplinary institution offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral education in veterinary medicine, animal sciences, biotechnology, microbiology, food sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, biological sciences, environmental sciences, and allied disciplines.
